'Dead man's Curve' star grabs role in romantic comedy
Michael Vartan, who is gaining industry recognition for his work in the Sundance Film Festival standout "Dead Man's Curve," has been tapped to co-star in the romantic comedy "It Had to Be You." Michael Vartan

The Steven Feder-scripted and -helmed offering, which also stars Natasha Henstridge, centers on two chance encounters that change the romantic outcomes of four people's lives.

Feder and partner Neil Kaplan are producing the indie pic under their Black Sheep Entertainment banner.

The deal was shepherded by ICM's Tracy Brennan and Vartan's manager Steven Hanks. "It Had to Be You," which is Vartan's seventh feature, begins lensing in New York next month.
